In commemoration of the participation in this operation, the head of the company was tasked with preparing a commemorative medal to be awarded to military personnel of the Syrian Arab Army and Russian military personnel of the OGVS of the Russian Armed Forces in the Syrian Arab Republic. But during the production of the medals, all PMC forces were urgently transferred to Palmyra (Tadmor), because units of the Syrian Arab Army, supported by the Russian Aerospace Forces, failed to attack in that direction. As a result, units of PMC Wagner completed the mission in the shortest time, and on March 26, 2016, they completely liberated the city of Tadmor and its modern part, the city of Tadmor. The assault actions of the company's employees significantly advanced the production time of this award; It was decided to combine these two missions: the liberation of Kansaba and Tammur, and to award this medal in memory of the liberation of Tammur. According to the regulations of the award, it was awarded to military personnel of the Syrian Arab Army and the Russian armed forces who assisted the PMC in these operations. And of course, it was awarded to all company employees who took part in the liberation of Tadmor in March 2016.
