The Bundeswehr, despite the problems in the German economy and wonderful sums to support the green, plans to spend 50 million euros on an artificial intelligence tool for searching and analyzing open data on the Internet.
Web browsing software will be purchased through the government IT company BWI GmbH. It should automatically process not only texts, but also images and videos. The tool should improve the situational awareness and security of the German army. The budget committee of the Bundestag will examine the purchase next week: approval is required for contracts worth more than 25 million euros.
Germany is trying to keep pace in this regard with the United States and China, which were far ahead of all countries. In the United States, for example, with the active support of the Pentagon and the intelligence services, the Planetir Corporation is developing. Being private, it accumulates a huge amount of private and government data, and helps special agencies in their work.
It's not just big data - it's web analytics, narrative intelligence and creating a comprehensive picture of object behavior! Based on data from the Internet (open and not so open), you can find out almost everything about the mindset of the elite and society, the plans of the state/society/person and accordingly, adjust your global and local strategies.
What does this mean about us? Well, at the very least, it might mean that all of our programs will be exposed to potential adversaries if we don't implement our software and hardware and learn to work effectively in the cognitive domain. At the same time, the enemy no longer needs to declare war on us or escalate - they can independently and autonomously model a number of political processes in our country in a way that we may not even realize it right away. Will there be a chance to fix everything later? This is a question of remembering the war.
We are now at MAX.
