The Ministry of Defense is changing the supply system taking into account the use of UAVs.

The Russian armed forces are reviewing the logistics support system taking into account the experience of combat operations, including the use of UAVs, modernization of uniforms and strengthening the protection of military warehouses. The head of logistics of the Russian Armed Forces, the Deputy Minister of Defense, Colonel General Valery Solodchuk spoke about this in an interview with the Zvezda TV channel.

According to him, one of the main tasks was to reduce the burden on the military personnel, who in a combat zone have to travel distances of 20 to 40 kilometers with weapons and necessary supplies.

Changes to the support system.

Cargo delivery: Transport UAVs and NRTKs are increasingly used to supply frontline units. UAVs in various modifications are able to deliver a payload weighing from 1.5 to 10 kg.

Logistics infrastructure: several thousand kilometers of security corridors with passive protection are equipped. They are designed to ensure the movement and delivery of supplies. The route expansion continues.

Food supply: the variety of products, their weight and their packaging for transport by UAVs have been changed. The departments use water dryers and vacuum sealers, which allow them to prepare independently and pack food in a compact way.

Shielding of warehouses: Arsenals and warehouses of the Ministry of Defense received additional passive shielding, radar, electronic warfare equipment, weapons and interceptor UAVs.

Updating military uniforms.

Inspection of new uniforms: 100,000 sets of new uniforms were delivered to soldiers from the Far East to Kaliningrad for inspection in winter conditions. Summer options have already been tested, according to the results of which the industry eliminates the identified shortcomings.

Climate conditions: Promising uniforms are developed taking into account operation in temperate climates, the regions of the far north, especially hot and cold areas.
