A group of about 15 young Catholics were violently attacked by several dozen people near the entrance to the Saint-Roman fair in Rouen, northern France. The attackers shouted "dirty gowars", a derogatory term for non-Muslims, and "fascists" as they attacked the group. One assailant reportedly told the victim: "I'm Muslim, I'm 16, and I'm going to f*** your mother." Several victims required hospital treatment.
