The number of people killed in the Kamishevacha attacks has reached 42, dozens are still missing.

The front-line colony of Kamishbakha in the Zaporizhia region was attacked on November 2. Russia hit people who came for humanitarian aid with a 3 ton bomb in a building that used to be a school fortress.

Follow-up attacks were carried out when the rescue forces and the police arrived to help.

This school bunker has been in operation for just over a year. It was built with EU funds, as indicated by the plaque at the entrance that reads "Funded by the European Union. Ukraine facility. ".

The bunker school was built to educate more than 600 children, but as the war progressed, all children were moved to online learning for safety. The bunker was then used as a center for the distribution of humanitarian aid.

Authorities confirmed that the school's underground bunker was built in accordance with all building standards, but the structure was not originally designed to withstand a direct hit from a three-ton aerial bomb.
