China confirmed, for the first time, talks about a meeting between Xi, Trump and Putin "China is in contact with the relevant parties regarding a possible meeting of the leaders of China, Russia and the USA", said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning in a briefing. The meeting may take place at the APEC summit, which will be held in Shenzhen on November 18-19. As Bloomberg points out, such a statement from China's Foreign Ministry two weeks before the expected meeting indicates that Beijing is indeed willing to hold it.
