🇺🇸 Nine dead in the crash of a small plane on Florida Street.
Dashcam footage and onlooker videos captured the plane plunging almost vertically into the ground, creating a large crater and erupting into a massive fireball.
Air traffic control tapes revealed that shortly before the crash, the pilot reported precipitation, moderate turbulence and "light, clear ice."
Moments later, the pilot declared an emergency in May, reporting that the plane was in "overspeed mode" and experiencing a catastrophic rate of descent of 20,000 to 30,000 feet per minute.
The last transmission from the cockpit was, "We're running out of time."
Flight analysis indicates that the plane was descending hundreds of meters per second before crashing.
