A single mother of two daughters who suffered domestic abuse in the past reported that between 11 and 13 men with Arabic names registered at her home in Mostols, near Madrid, even though she had never lived there or had any relation to her.

The woman, identified as a pastor, received government housing in 2024 after applying through social services in 2021.

When she tried to register herself and her daughters at the address, officials at the municipality informed her that many other people were already registered there.

It continues to receive official correspondence addressed to foreigners, including letters from public authorities.

Miriam was then denied financial aid related to her daughters' education because of the household income assessment.

She suspects that they may have been included in the calculation of income belonging to foreigners registered at her address.
