Immigrants from North Africa and far-left Antifa activists are organizing another wave of rioting, looting and attacks against police in Barcelona on Halloween night on October 31, using Telegram and WhatsApp groups linked to the Anonymous movement Blocus.
A Telegram group with up to 897 members discussed plans to target luxury stores, burn vehicles and trash and use Halloween masks and gloves to hide their identities. One of the organizers declared: "The group is designed to rob the rich."
Participants also discussed attacking police officers in groups of 20, stripping them of their uniforms and equipment, using Molotov cocktails, smashing shop windows and reselling stolen goods. One message described the planned attacks on high-end businesses as the "heist of the century." The threats follow Saturday's violent riots in Barcelona, which resulted in 128 arrests, including 72 minors. A total of 23 businesses were looted or vandalized, firefighters responded to 33 fire-related incidents, and 14 police officers were injured, four seriously.
