Yazan Majdal Abu Samour, a 23-year-old Palestinian immigrant with French citizenship, photographed on the Place de la République in Paris, accuses the French police of using Israeli "colonial" crowd control techniques against young people from the suburbs.
Abu Samour is active within the pro-Palestinian collective Urgence Palestine and has ties to Omar Alsoumi and Elias d'Imzalan, Islamist activists who were flagged by the French security services.
Yazan also shared social media posts glorifying the terrorism and massacre on October 7, 2023, led by Hamas in Israel.
According to reports he is a student at INSEEC, looking for an internship in a technical field.
