Hamas has warned Israel that it is ready to carry out another massacre in the style of October 7, which will target Israelis inside Israel, the West Bank (Judea and Samaria), and outside it whenever the opportunity arises.
According to the Israeli Ynet, senior Hamas officials delivered the threat during a meeting last week with the UN humanitarian coordinator Dr. Ramiz Elkabrov at his office in Gaza. Elkabrov conveyed the warning to Israeli Major General Yoram Halevi, head of COGAT. Sources described the message as unprecedented in its directness.
The warning comes as Hamas continues to resist international demands to hand over its weapons as part of the US-brokered cease-fire agreement, while negotiations on disarmament, the withdrawal of Israeli soldiers and the reconstruction of Gaza remain deadlocked.
