The City Bridge Foundation, a charity responsible for maintaining five of London's most iconic bridges, has awarded £1.17 million in 2023 to the Muslim Charity Forum (MCF), whose treasurer and trustee also heads a charity under investigation for links to Hamas.
The MCF's treasurer, Shoaib Youssef, is the CEO of the Al Khair Foundation, which is under investigation by Britain's Charity Commission for links to Hamas and possible terrorist financing.
The investigation follows the arrest of Muhammad Yusef Hasna, who worked for the Al-Khair partner charity in Gaza. The American prosecutors accuse him of conspiring to finance Hamas and diverting humanitarian aid to organization. He faces charges that carry maximum sentences of 20 years each.
