Russia has lost its most modern fighter jet.
At Akhtobinsk airport, a Russian Su-57 multirole fighter jet caught fire and was completely burned during engine start-up.
This is already the fourth loss of the Russian Su-57 in 2026.
Two were hit in the spring at Shagul Airport, and another was shot down by "friendly" fire on July 23 in the Moscow region.
Production, meanwhile, amounts to a maximum of four aircraft per year.
