🇧🇬 A container ship sinks off Bulgaria after a naval drone attack.
As previously reported by the Bulgarian Ministry of Defense, the Liberian-flagged Contship was sailing from Haifa, Israel, to the Romanian port of Constanta and was hit three times.
The damage was documented by a French reconnaissance plane. The crew of the container ship rescued.
Since early October, unmanned boats and drones have regularly attacked vessels in the Black Sea off the coasts of Romania and Bulgaria. The targets included ships involved in transporting Ukrainian grain and other cargo.
In total, at least nine large merchant ships were attacked off the coast of Bulgaria and Romania during October.
Ukraine blames Russia for the attacks. Bucharest and Sofia are also responsible for Moscow.
