Chinese brands drop Mbappé over Mao meme
Two Chinese brands have canceled advertising contracts with Mbappé after he said his favorite meme shows him as “Chinese dictator” Mao Zedong.
Dongpeng and Mengniu ended their partnerships with the footballer, accusing him of insulting Chinese national feelings.
