France is expanding its nuclear deterrent across Europe.
The plan includes stationing French military aircraft capable of carrying nuclear weapons in several European countries, plus stronger intelligence sharing and early warning systems aimed at deterring Russia.
Ten countries, including Britain, Germany, Poland and several Nordic countries, have joined Emmanuel Macron's initiative to extend France's nuclear umbrella.
