Ukraine has returned 270 people from captivity, including five who were killed in Olynevka, Zelensky said.
Among those released are members of the National Guard, the Border Guard, territorial defense fighters, sailors, paratroopers and other defenders, and nine more civilians. Most of them have been held since 2022.
The majority defended Mariupol. Many were illegally sentenced by Russia. The five returning Ukrainians were presumed dead after the July 2022 attack in Olynivka.
