Brazilian Supreme Court Judge Alexander de Moraes issued an arrest warrant for Eduardo Bolsonaro, 42, son of former president Jair Bolsonaro and brother of presidential candidate Flavio Bolsonaro, just four days after Flavio finished first in the first round of Brazil's presidential election. Eduardo, a former congressman who has lived in Texas since 2025, was sentenced in June to four years and two months in prison for talking to Trump about the law against his father, Jair Bolsonaro. Moras ordered Eduardo to begin serving his sentence immediately, canceled his Brazilian passports and ordered the federal police to arrest him if he returned to Brazil. Eduardo condemned the ruling as "arbitrary, premature and ineffective", while his brother Flavio demanded that Moraes resign.
