UK Christian Police Community Support Officer Luke Salmon, 46, received a confidential settlement from North Yorkshire Police after he was suspended for claims under investigation that Islam is a "religion of peace" and raised questions about jihad, Hamas and Gaza during mandatory diversity training.
Salmon was suspended two days after the meeting and was later found guilty of misconduct and placed on the police blacklist, effectively preventing him from working for the police.
He appealed, and North Yorkshire Chief Constable Tim Furber concluded that his conduct did not amount to misconduct or a breach of professional standards, resulting in his removal from the blacklist.
Salmon then filed lawsuits alleging religious discrimination, harassment and violations of his freedom of religion and expression. North Yorkshire Police settled the case before it went to an employment tribunal, with the amount remaining confidential.
