Salam Ahmadian, 36, and Rahman Salehi, 34, were arrested by Manchester's terror police the day before Yom Kippur.

Prosecutors reveal that they obtained documents, liquids, components and other equipment needed to manufacture an explosive device. It is also claimed that they were in contact with a third party abroad who may have been in Iran.

One person arrived in the UK by small boat in 2020 and the other in 2023. One was granted asylum, while the other still has an active asylum claim.
