Large German study finds significant levels of support for a range of Islamist and anti-Semitic statements among Muslim respondents in 2025
According to the Menschen in Deutschland study by the University of Hamburg:
- 44.8% agreed that the sexual morality of Western societies is "completely corrupt", an increase from 30.8% in 2021.
- 44.3% said that only Islam is capable of solving the problems of our time, compared to 31.7% in 2021.
- 28.6% agreed that "Jews cannot be trusted", more than double the 12.6% registered in 2021.
- 27.7% said that Christian religions in Germany are unable to guarantee morality, compared to 23.2%.
- 25.1% said that the rules of the Koran are more important to them than German laws, almost unchanged from 26.1% in 2021.
- 23.8% said that Islamic theocracy is the best form of government, compared to 18.7%.
