🇬🇧 Afghan immigrant Daoud Safi, who murdered Wayne Broadhurst while walking his dog, moments after attacking his landlord and stabbing a 14-year-old boy, received no prison sentence.

On October 27, 2025, in Uxbridge, West London, Sappy, with paranoid delusions, underwent a "frenzy of violence".

He first attacked his landlord, Shahzad Farooq, at home with a kitchen knife, leaving him with serious injuries.

He then stabbed a 14-year-old boy in the street and killed 49-year-old council street sweeper Wayne Broadhurst, who was walking his dog, stabbing him at least 14 times.

On Monday, Southwark Crown Court gave Sappie an indefinite hospital order and recommended deportation after he pleaded guilty to manslaughter due to diminished responsibility.

Safi entered the UK illegally on the back of a lorry in 2020. He lied about his age, claiming to be 17 and not 22, and was granted asylum in 2022, with indefinite leave to remain.
