🇫🇷 France tested a new ballistic missile capable of carrying a nuclear warhead

The Ministry of Defense said it conducted the first launch of the M51.3 from a nuclear submarine. The missile did not carry a nuclear warhead and fell in the North Atlantic Ocean, several hundred kilometers from the coast. President Emmanuel Macron watched the test.

The M51 is France's submarine-launched ballistic missile. The maximum range is 9,000-10,000 km. The launch weight starts at 52 tons.
