🇹🇼 Taiwan just received its first two US-made F-16V Block 70 fighter jets

They are the first of 66 F-16Vs ordered under an $8 billion package approved in 2019, during Donald Trump's first term.

The Block 70 is an upgraded fourth-generation multi-role aircraft with new radar, avionics and engines designed to compete with China's modern air force.

Once all 66 arrive, Taiwan's active F-16 fleet will exceed 200 aircraft.
