🇺🇸 The US withdraws from a European anti-corruption panel

The Trump administration has officially informed the Council of Europe that the United States is leaving the Group of Countries Against Corruption (GRECO).

The decision is part of a broader strategy to disengage from international bodies that the administration considers ineffective, outside of its mandate, or contrary to US policy.

The United States is only the third country ever to leave the panel, after Russia and Belarus.
