🇳🇵 Horrifying photos from Nepal, where the rain causes landslides of rocks and mud that wipe out villages and take out houses from under people's feet

At least 27 people have died from this weekend's rain alone. Hundreds of families were displaced from their homes.

The saturated Himalayan slopes suddenly failed. More than 300 local landslides tore apart villages. A video shows houses and bridges engulfed in mud in Chema, Manang province, and an emergency rescue in Palpa.

At the Himlung Himal base camp in northern Manang, an avalanche buried tents of support staff and guides. A search and rescue operation is underway.
