An important meeting with Bundestag President Julia Klöckner. We greatly appreciate German leadership in protecting our people's lives, supporting our energy and working together to hold Russia accountable for this war of its own.
Every day, Russia attacks our cities and communities, its targets are Ukrainian energy and logistics. Currently, the situation in our energy system is very difficult, there are serious outages in many areas. We discussed how Germany can support our energy sector and help with additional defenses against Russian missile and UAV attacks.
Financial support for Ukraine next year was discussed in detail. I am grateful for the fact that 11.6 billion euros of aid to Ukraine is planned in Germany's federal budget. We are doing everything to end the war as soon as possible, but we must be ready to defend Ukraine and our independence. Thank you Germany for understanding all our needs and we hope a decision will be made.
