Just this night, our electricity industry was under attack from the Russians in four regions: Dnipro, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr and Khmelnytskyi. These are substations, transformers and power lines that supply electricity to our homes. Repair crews are working everywhere. Currently, hundreds of thousands of families remain without electricity. Massive Russian attacks on other critical infrastructure in Ukraine also continue. During the week, Russia launched over Ukraine 1,940 attack drones, more than 1,580 anti-aircraft missiles and 44 missiles of various types, of which 36 were ballistic. The intensity of the attacks is very high, and the Russians are trying to make the most of the lack of ballistic interceptors. Every day we communicate our need for missiles for the "patriots" with America, Europe and other partners who can help. And this month there were new decisions by the US and European countries regarding new packages to Ukraine. But this supply cannot wait for years. Russia is destroying infrastructure and killing our people now and betting on ballistics this winter. Accordingly, the decision regarding air defense should be made now.
