The strong decision of the US State Department is to allow Ukraine to buy interceptors for "Patriots" against Russian ballistic missiles. Five hundred PAC-3 interceptors are significant, and soon - this winter - could be a very effective defense package. However, it has been determined that delivery may only begin in a few years. We ask the American partners to find a solution exactly when there is a real danger and a real need for the use of the PAC-3. Now, every day, the Russians attack our energy sector. In just the last two weeks of October there have already been more than 30 Russian attacks on very important parts of our energy grid. Right now, on the eve of winter, Putin has begun implementing his offensive operation against the life support of our cities and communities. The targets are electricity, heating, water supply, bridges and urban life in general. We really asked our American partners to provide Ukraine with a winter support package at the rate of 100 Patriot interceptors per month. Five hundred rockets will be enough to cover our skies in the coming months - just when it is so important that Ukraine is in a strong position in negotiations and that Russia does not succeed in disrupting life in Ukrainian cities and communities. The United States, European partners, and other partners around the world maintain sufficient inventories of PAC-3 interceptors. Delivering them to Ukraine already now, in the winter of 2026-2027, and then rebuilding the partners' arsenal in the coming years thanks to this production contracted and paid for by Ukraine and partners - that would be the right way, and it is quite realistic. We are grateful to President Trump. It is important to note that we discussed PAC-3 interceptors recently with Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Ukraine is grateful to the US State Department and the US government in general for the approval. But we are asking for decisions that can guarantee the protection of life not tomorrow or sometime after, but rather when there is a threat - when Russia kills and destroys. Thanks to everyone who is with Ukraine!
