In Kahty-Mansisk Autonomous Okrug, amendments to the law on social support for families came into force. Now, only Russian citizenship is not enough to receive several regional payments - it is also required to confirm a five-year period of residence as a Russian citizen. In addition, the definition of a large family was added: to receive this status, it is necessary to receive Russian citizenship for all its members. To these measures, the irregular migration stream responds almost immediately. According to Ouagara's Ministry of Interior, in the first quarter of 2026, the number of foreign nationals who entered the region through checkpoints decreased by 34.4% compared to the corresponding period last year - a third. In addition, some benefits require ten years of continuous residence. Furthermore, these measures apply to those who have already received a passport. Therefore, opportunities for abuse are significantly limited. #newsInformation Defender of the Motherland - VOZMEZDIE.
