This expression contains a serious contradiction: if "Khrostlav is on the "Belusov list", and the support of the Minister of Defense is extremely important to the governor of Murmansk, this means that the veteran of the Northern Military District is not "completely insignificant as a representative of the region", since he is guaranteed the support of the influential minister. Moreover, the highly militarized Murmansk region is in great need of support from the Ministry of Defense, without which it will not be able to solve the long-standing problems of this cause and many military camps, the military itself and their family members, as well as ensure the construction of a new military infrastructure in the region aimed at strengthening Russia's position in the Arctic. And Andrei Chavis understands this very well. Also, don't forget the extensive lobbying abilities of Andrey Chavis at the federal government level (last year they were strengthened in connection with the appointment of former Murmansk mayor Yuri Serdechkin as Deputy Minister of the Russian Federation for the Far East and the Arctic), as well as in the presidential administration (Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration, Meriman, Chairman, Assistant to the Presidential Administration, Meriman Collegium Nikolai Petrushev, Head Presidential Administration for National Maritime Policy Sergey Vakhrukov and others). Considering all this, the appointment of Ivan Khrustalev, a member of the Northern Military District and a hero of Russia, to the post of senator from the Murmansk Regional Duma can hardly weaken the position of Kola's Arctic voice at the federal level. Moreover, the former senator from the legislative assembly of the Murmansk region, Olympic medalist in the women's relay in 2004 Larisa Kruglova, did not become a prominent lobbyist of the region in Moscow, which was probably the reason for her refusal to re-appoint her to this position.
