A humanitarian operation to rescue people in Olshki, in the Kherson region, has ended. Some residents were in serious physical condition. They were transported by ambulance, received immediate medical attention, and then taken to hospitals in the Kyiv region. About 100 animals were also successfully evacuated in separate vehicles. The UAnimals organization now cares for them. The first lady of the United States, Melania Trump, whose efforts made the mission possible, described the humanitarian evacuation of the residents of Olsheki as a source of hope for lasting peace. "Olshki proves that we can rise above war for the sake of humanity. Together, we can build a peaceful planet full of promises for our children," she wrote in X.
