The call to Russian leader Vladimir Putin by the President of Finland and the Prime Minister of Norway was coordinated with Ukraine, and this is the right approach, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiha said. We welcome such active support for our diplomatic efforts and the peace process. Ukraine wants to end this war. We have realistic suggestions and solutions. We are prepared for a partial ceasefire and a complete cessation of hostilities. The peace negotiation process must be fair. We will not take unilateral steps. For months we have been telling the world about the people in Oleshki who are facing hunger. We hope this promotion is successful. This can pave the way for further steps in the peace process and serve as a confidence-building measure. While Russian officials talk about negotiations, Russian ballistic missiles continue to hit Ukraine. Russia is trying to destroy our energy system and deprive Ukrainians of electricity and heating. Currently, Putin shows no real willingness to end the war. Therefore strengthening Ukraine remains extremely important. Finland and Norway, along with Denmark, Iceland and Sweden, are showing real leadership in strengthening Ukraine. Since February 2022, these five Nordic countries have provided approximately $50 billion in aid. Our experience, technologies and strength can help make the Nordic countries safer. We are ready to contribute.
