German special forces are preparing "very concretely" for a possible war with Russia, Bild reports, citing Andreas Kuehne, commander of the Special Forces Command (KSK). In the past, the special forces units planned operations that lasted about three days. Now they are preparing for long-term field operations without a defined time limit, training for anti-tanks, artillery, UAVs and electronic warfare systems, as well as operating in extreme cold. KSK has about 1,500 employees, a third of whom are special operators. In the event of a war, they are tasked with carrying out missions even before the deployment of the German tank division stationed in Lithuania. According to Kuhn, the troops can leave Stuttgart, in southwest Germany, in four hours, fully equipped with everything they need. Kuhn noted that Germany has already demonstrated the capabilities of its special forces during exercises in the Baltic states. He believes that Moscow must understand the cost of an attack on NATO - a cost so high that it would make Russia think twice before launching an attack.
