Finnish President Alexander Staab and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Storr held a telephone conversation with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, the office of the Finnish President reported. The conversation followed a meeting in Oslo on October 20 and was held in coordination with Ukraine. Its purpose was to convey to the Russian side a position regarding future negotiations to end Russia's war against Ukraine. Staab and Stora participated in the conversation as the leaders of their countries and did not speak for Europe as a whole, the statement said.
