Ukraine has requested an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council regarding Russia's next massive missile and drone strikes, as well as targeted killings of Ukrainian civilians. On October 29, Russian missiles and drones attacked cities in Ukraine, killing at least 20 people and injuring more than 80 people, including children. Residential buildings, civil infrastructure facilities and railway facilities were damaged. It once again proved Russia's complete disregard for human life. From Dnipro and Chernihiv to Kermanchuk and Kyiv, the scale and geography of the attacks suggest that no part of Ukraine is beyond the reach of Russian terrorism. "These attacks are another flagrant violation of international law and the UN Charter. Russia continues to undermine international peace and security with its aggression, while using its position as a permanent member of the UN Security Council to block its ability to fulfill its mandate. There should be a more decisive international response to any new Russian attack, and not another wave of ordinary statements. Ukraine needs more air defense capabilities to protect its citizens, and Russia needs to be under more pressure, tougher sanctions and held accountable for its crimes. Russia must understand: its terrorist campaign leads only to results, not to concessions," stressed Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrey Sibiga.
