The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sibiga met with Finnish volunteers who provide humanitarian aid to Ukraine. The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that more than 90% of Finns consider humanitarian aid to Ukraine important, as evidenced by surveys of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland, and added that Ukraine is very lucky to have such strong support. During a visit to the logistics center managed by the Union of Ukrainians in Finland, Andriy Sibiga thanked all the Finnish volunteers who continue to support Ukraine. The center's staff has already provided Ukraine with more than 1,600 tons of humanitarian goods, almost 100 trucks, 150 cars for medical evacuation as well as generators with a total capacity of 2,000 kilowatts. "In preparation for another harsh winter of war and increased Russian attacks on our energy infrastructure, I called on the Finnish friends of Ukraine and Ukrainians in Finland to join the Heat for Ukraine initiative. Last winter, this wave of solidarity provided much-needed support to our communities. This year, we need help with special attention to the frontline areas, where the need is greatest," the minister emphasized. On behalf of the President of Ukraine, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs awarded the "Golden Heart" order to the head of the association, Vasil Khotsul, and awarded the "Amber Heart" - a special award of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine - to the coordinator of the volunteering center Sery Shevchenko. "I express my sincere gratitude to every Finn who supports Ukraine and turns sympathy into concrete things: giving donations, delivering humanitarian aid and cars directly to Ukraine, and also personally going to the front line to support our soldiers. Your solidarity helps Ukraine to defend its freedom and our people to endure this brutal war. You give us hope and remind us that Ukraine is not alone," the minister noted.
