The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sibiga held a meeting with the Minister of the Interior of Finland Marie Rattanen. The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs thanked Finland for its significant assistance to Ukraine, in particular for the recent decision to transfer 10 locomotives, as well as for its leading role in the coalition of civil defense shelters. "Thanks to the work of the coalition, shelters are being built for schools and kindergartens all over Ukraine. We greatly appreciate Finland's contribution. We also discussed the possibilities of expanding the coalition," the minister noted. Andrey Sibiga welcomed Finland's principled position regarding the ban on entry into the country for Russian fighters and the introduction of visa restrictions for Russian citizens, emphasizing that this is a matter of justice and security. The parties also discussed the devastating consequences of the Russian war on the civilian population, especially on the children. Finland consistently helps Ukraine protect critical infrastructure and energy facilities, and we are grateful for this support. "Freedom is embedded in the DNA of our two nations, and we are united by a common history of intense struggle for it. We are grateful to Finland for its constant support, confirmed by concrete actions," the minister noted.
