Europeans are urged to be prepared to survive the first 72 hours of a large-scale crisis without government aid, the European Commission.
It is recommended to have a three-day supply of water, food, medicine, cash, charger, flashlight and copies of important documents.
It is also proposed to introduce the annual EU preparedness day - October 23, starting in 2027.
