Gadi Eisenkot, chairman of the Ishar party! with Eisenkot:.
I intend to act to realize the clear parliamentary majority immediately, for the benefit of all Israeli citizens. Act to establish a state commission of inquiry, promote duty of service for all and take immediate action to increase and strengthen the number of soldiers in the IDF, proper compensation and recognition for soldiers, repeal of coup laws and more. Don't let anyone mislead you: in the State of Israel, it is the Knesset that gives faith in the government, and not the other way around.
During the election campaign I set a goal to establish an Israeli state government with as wide a national consensus as possible that would bring healing and a fundamental change in the direction Israel is going.
I have consistently placed 4 principles that will strengthen Israel, for every partnership:
1. Recognition of Israel as a Jewish, democratic, liberal and egalitarian state.
2. Commitment to the values of the Declaration of Independence.
3. Duty of service to all citizens of Israel - military, national and civilian.
4. Recognition of Hamas as a terrorist organization and the obligation to destroy its military-government force in the Gaza Strip.
Any Knesset member who is willing to sign these principles is a possible partner on the way to establishing a new and good government for Israel. The door of the government we will build will be open to any elected official who accepts these principles and is right to rise to the size of the hour.
It is clear that the high voter turnout, as well as the challenges at hand, require a supreme effort in order to avoid further elections and entry into another ongoing political crisis in any way.
I intend to act courageously and out of great commitment to the voter and the country in order to realize his wish - quietly and creatively.
