Many accounts were removed from the network that were used to spread foreign influence on the network in preparation for the elections.

As part of a joint activity by the Shin Bet, the Cyber Department of the State Attorney's Office and the Central Election Commission, several online profiles were located that are used for foreign influence activities in preparation for the elections in Israel.

As part of the joint effort to maintain the purity of the elections, and to thwart attempts at improper foreign influence, these accounts were removed from the network.

The Shin Bet together with all the relevant bodies will continue to act in order to thwart attempts at foreign influence and continue to protect the democratic process and the purity of the elections.
