Federal agents raided the Washington, D.C. home of Democratic Congresswoman Ilhan Omar early this morning as part of an ongoing federal criminal investigation.

Agents from the Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) unit arrived at the scene around 6:00 am. Both the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the US Department of Justice (DOJ) were involved in the operation.

The Justice Department confirmed that agents executed a court-approved search warrant, but authorities have yet to publicly disclose the full scope of the investigation.
