Defense Minister Israel Katz ordered the closure of crossings in Gaza and the West Bank during the days commemorating the October 7 events.

Defense Minister Israel Katz accepted the IDF's recommendation and ordered a general closure to be imposed on the Judea and Samaria area and the closure of the Gaza Strip crossings on 05.10 and 07.10, in accordance with the security situational assessment and against the backdrop of the days commemorating the October 7 events.

Exceptions for crossings in Judea and Samaria will be granted solely in exceptional cases and subject to the approval of the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT).

Additionally, the passage of essential workers from Judea and Samaria in the health sector will be permitted, as well as in cases where there is a state commitment to the High Court of Justice, or for needs concerning the seam zone.
