The prime minister's directive to the inter-ministerial team and the director of the international department in consulting and legislation: preparation of a legal case against Turkish President Erdogan.

The background for the significant escalation occurred about a month ago, when Erdogan announced that he had contacted Interpol to promote Netanyahu's arrest. It was one escalation in a never-ending chain of escalations.

As a result, an instruction was given to carry out a retaliatory action against Erdogan. In my understanding, the focus is Erdogan's massacre of the Kurds. But not only, and also deals with ties and funding to Hamas.

Israel can apply itself with the case to the court in The Hague, but from what I understand - a more likely scenario is to apply through a proxy. But it should be said that the Israeli hope is that it will not be necessary to actually file the case at all, but to be satisfied with the actual existence of the case for the purposes of threat and deterrence against Erdogan to prevent further escalation.
