Details of the incident:

1. Yesterday afternoon, a fighting force from Battalion 7007 launched two explosive drones from a post in the north of the Gaza Strip to eliminate a terrorist located in the area.

2. From the initial investigation it appears - the first drone was launched and reached its destination, the second drone was launched but for a reason that is still being investigated returned back towards the fighters and crashed on a sukkah inside the outpost.

3. When the two fighters picked up the malfunctioning drone in their hands - it exploded and mortally wounded them. They were pronounced dead at the hospital.

4. Following the incident, the Chief of Staff ordered the suspension of all activity with explosive drones of the "Bat" type and others - until the completion of the technical examination on the subject. The possibility of frequency jamming by the enemy is also being examined, although it is widely believed that Hamas does not have such a developed anti-aircraft capability.
