An arsenal of weapons, the planning of a series of attacks, the kidnapping of an IDF soldier and an attempt to assassinate national security officer Itamar Ben Gabir using an explosive drone: at the end of their investigation in the central unit in the Shi'i district and the Shin Bet, indictments were filed against a terrorist cell from Nablus

The Anti-Terrorist Unit in the Shi'a Police Department and the General Security Service uncovered the activity of a terrorist cell in the Nablus area, in which two Palestinians worked to promote terrorist activity, equip themselves with weapons, carry out shooting training, recruit operatives and plan murderous attacks.

The indictment shows that the two worked together starting at the end of 2023 to promote 'military' activity. The two were equipped with a large number of weapons, including M-16, M-4, Kalashnikov, pistols, shotguns and ammunition. In addition, they worked to recruit additional terrorist operatives and train them while conducting shooting exercises and discussing a variety of terrorist attacks against Israeli civilians and the security forces.

As part of their investigation, it was revealed that in 2024, the thought of carrying out an attack against the Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir, repaid in their hearts. According to the indictment, after the two watched a video in which the minister was seen arriving at the scene of an attack, one of the terrorists proposed to carry out a "pull attack", to wait for the minister to arrive at the scene and then assassinate him. Later, he suggested using an explosive drone for the purpose of carrying out the assassination and even tried to assist in the purchase of drone parts from China for this operation.

Further in their investigation, it emerged that the two were engaged in the promotion of murderous terrorist attacks using explosive vehicles and drones against Israeli civilians and security forces, along with planning shooting attacks and the kidnapping of IDF soldiers.
