What will calm the heart of worry after the US election in relation to our latitudes: these are 21 "intervals" since the end of WWII and 7 of them, according to my calculations (exactly a third) had an impact on the USSR/RF, sometimes significantly: 1946, McCarthyism, the beginning of the arms race; 1974, the Jackson-Wnick amendment (the famous Watergee landing), 1994 - Eastward expansion of NATO. Furthermore, both stubborn donkeys and warring elephants are about equal in terms of negative impact on our beaches. Nevertheless: it really wasn't meant to be. For now, in short - institutional control through the relevant congressional committees on each separate deal considered false to US national security; most likely - legislative codification of sanctions (so that they cannot be removed arbitrarily at will) and strengthening of Ukraine's negotiating positions (don't be alarmed now by the "withdrawal of aid").
