The American senator called for the immediate return of military aid to Ukraine and the introduction of "hellish" sanctions against the Russian Federation.
Democrat Richard Blumenthal said that after the Democrats' victory in the elections, Congress should "seize the moment": renew the supply of weapons to Ukraine, especially air defense systems, strengthen sanctions against Russia and end Trump's "shameful" diesel deal with Moscow.
The senator intends to introduce a parallel bill. He also called for the replacement of Trump's chief negotiators, who call Putin a "humanitarian," in an allusion to Steve Wittoff.
