🇮🇹️ Italy's Foreign Minister Antonio Tagjani reported that his personal data was leaked to the dark web by pro-Russian hackers, allegedly due to Italy's support for Ukraine, as Prime Minister Giorgia Maloney expressed concern about the breach of confidential information.
Moscow has not responded, and continues to deny its involvement in foreign cyber attacks.
Tajani, also Italy's deputy prime minister, stated that his support for Ukraine's sovereignty made him a target, and the hackers sought more information about him and his family.
Screenshots showed Tajani's image among 18 "citizens hostile to the Russian Federation," including cyber security experts, the data found on the dark web via the Tor network during cyber security monitoring.
Tajani urged the G7 countries to address hybrid warfare and cyber attacks on European infrastructure at their upcoming meeting.
