🇫🇷 France is preparing to order the MdCN Mk2, an upgraded naval cruise missile from MBDA with a range exceeding 1,000 km.
The contract is due to be signed by the French Procurement Agency (DGA), with deliveries scheduled to begin in 2030. The new missile will include improved stealth, improved resistance to blocking satellite navigation and mission planning with the help of artificial intelligence.
It is intended to equip France's FREMM frigates and Soprano-class nuclear attack submarines, giving them an enhanced long-range land attack capability.
